Wide Angle Organises Recreational Sports Meet for Children During Challenging Times

Wide Angle Social DevelopmentOrganisation, with the support of Child Rights and You (CRY), successfully organised a one-day Child Friendly Annual Sports Meet at Heinoupok Ground, Imphal West on 02/10/25 to promote recreation, teamwork, and holistic development among children, while also helping them cope with challenges during the challenging times of Manipur conflict.

Around 250 studentsfrom five remedial centres: Maklang, Salam, Heinoupok, Thaoroijam, and Ngairangbam, actively participated in the event. Theses centres have been specially established to provide additional aducational support to marginalised students of Imphal West. 

The meet featured a variety of engaging and fun-filled activities, including Blind Hit, 100-Metre Race, In-Out, Musical Chair, Marble Race, Balloon games and Tug of War bringing joy and enthusiasm to all the children. 

Refreshments were also given to the children and attendees during the break time and after the sports meet.
