Secretary of Wide Angle participated as a board member of VANI in the two-day international conference, “Building Bridges among Civil Society Organisations: Dialogue across Continents,” held on September 8–9, 2025, at Vishwa Yuvak Kendra, New Delhi.
The conference provided a platform to exchange ideas with global civil society leaders and embassy representatives. It was part of a week-long Partners’ Meeting co-hosted by networks from India (VANI), Germany (VENRO), Brazil (ABONG), and Ethiopia (CCRDA), aimed at fostering meaningful cross-continental dialogue and collaboration.
Over the two days, civil society leaders and practitioners from across continents:
• Strengthened solidarity for achieving global goals
• Shared strategies on how CSOs can remain relevant in changing realities
• Built connections for future collaborations across borders
• Amplified local voices to influence global dialogue
VANI extended gratitude to the dignitaries who delivered keynote addresses, including His Excellency Mr. Fesseha Shawel Gebre, Ambassador of Ethiopia; Mr. Georg Enzweiler, Chargé d’Affaires; Ms. Pamela Baijal, Deputy Head of Development Cooperation; and Mr. Gottfried Von Gemmingen, Head of Economic Cooperation and Development.
The event concluded with a renewed commitment to strengthen global partnerships and amplify civil society’s role in addressing contemporary challenges.
